About The Invention

Gun ID Tag system

The Gun ID Tag system looks to provide a solution to the horrific problem of gun violence in schools. Since 2013, there has been 337 incidents of a gun being fired on school property. The Gun ID Tag system can prevent terrible situations like this through the use of a passive tracking system. The system starts with a passive RFID chip with locked, non-volatile memory.

This makes it so that hackers can’t change information on the chip. The chip is then inserted into a place on the handle of the gun via the Applicator Machine. This machine contains the specially-made RFID tags and includes a dispenser. There is a platform where the firearm is clamped onto, and a set of robotic arms on a motorized track. These arms apply an industrial-strength adhesive before setting the RFID chip into place. Each tag will be encoded with data including the registered user, registered state, and the serial number of the firearm.

Schools will be outfitted with RFID Signal Readers. These readers will constantly send out signals to look for any passive RFID Chip in its range. If a signal is returned to the reader, it means that there is a firearm in the area.

The RFID Reader would then send a signal to a nearby PC via a WiFi, Bluetooth, or hard-wired connection. The PC would be running a special program that is always looking for this alert. If an alert is detected, local authorities would be immediately notified and the police would be on their way!

The Gun ID Tag system can help put an end to gun violence in schools. Precious lives will be saved and schools will be made safer for children everywhere.

Gun ID Tag system

The inventor K family, saw a need for a way to avoid unnecessary violence by alerting of weapons before harm can happen. She contacted the Mars Rising Network and had a provisional and design patent application filed and had the invention designed properly so that she may see success with this great idea and turn it into a real product. She is actively seeking a company that would have an interest in licensing the product for a royalty.
