About The Invention

This self-propelled manual pool cleaner is built from rugged materials to withstand everyday pool cleaning activities. The cleaner manually attaches to standard pool extension poles. The pool pole attachment on the cleaner includes a swivel design that allows for easy maneuvering during cleaning. The cleaner comes fully assembled with four replaceable gear-driven wheels that rotate the replaceable bristle/paddle brush.

The cleaner contains two (2) debris-holding compartments (front and back of the cleaner) that trap the debris being collected from the pool floor. Depending on the forward or backward motion being used during pool cleaning, the debris will be swept and trapped in one or both of the debris holding compartments. Upon completion of cleaning, remove the cleaner and clean out the debris collected by gently pushing down on each of the spring-loaded debris compartments to allow them to open. Once the compartments open, dispose of debris, clean compartments, close compartments, and you are ready for your next cleaning.

About the Developer

The idea originated after becoming frustrated with the current manual non powered pool cleaners available on the market. Having an inground pool for over 30 years, Greg Martin has spent countless dollars on pool cleaning nets that wear easily and do not pick up debris at the bottom of the pool very easily. After brainstorming and having thoughts about an old in-home brush sweeper, the idea of this pool sweeper came to him.

Greg contacted the Mars Rising Network and had a provisional and design patent application filed and had the invention designed properly so that he may see success with this great idea and turn it into a real product. He is actively seeking a company that would have an interest in licensing the product for royalty. Working with Mars Rising Network, this essential new design concept was refined and prepared to be presented as a commercial product.
